Valdemarsgade
Copenhagen, Denmark

An apartment left unmaintained for over 40 years was purchased by an idiot who thought he could live there while renovating the entire flat.  It barely worked out.  Old plaster walls were demolished, and the rooms were rearranged both to provide better daylighting conditions and to make space for integrated closets.  Because the owner had never done any home improvements at any scale whatsoever, fine detailing was removed, minimized, or obscured by floor to ceiling curtains which also provide privacy from neighbors in the the narrow courtyard block.
